Home Department is the Nodal Department for the UID project in the State and The Commissioner, Nagaland is designated as the Registrar for enrollment of residents into the Unique Identification (UID) project of the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) for the State of Nagaland and for the enrollment of residents in Nagaland based on demographic and biometric data of the individual with the existing infrastructure.

All the Deputy Commissioners, independent Additional Deputy Commissioners (ADCs) and Sub-Divisional Officers (SDO) are appointed as “Enrollment Agencies” to supervise and for conducting the Aadhaar enrollment in their respective districts and sub-divisions.

All the 16 districts have designated Nodal Officers duly appointed by the respective Deputy Commissioner’s.
